Manufactured In-house - ITW ALMA has custom designed and constructed its own state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment. Because we coat our own film, we are in the unique position to control the variables that produce optimum quality mats.
Safety Construction - The FirstStep's patented design (U.S. Patent 4559250) resists adhesive transfer and prevents sheet-to-sheet delamination. This safety feature reduces the risk of worker tripping accidents and eliminates the need for a beveled edge frame.
Adhesive - Our technical expertise and exact formulations ensure a consistent adhesive coating on each layer of the mat. The formulation of tack level, thickness and hardness of the adhesive, ensures that particles are captured and embedded into the adhesive, which prevents transfer onto the next shoe or wheel that crosses over that area of the mat.
60 Layers - ITW ALMA broke the 30-sheet barrier and introduced the first 60-layer mat. Twice as many sheets means twice the life of each mat, reduced labor costs, reduced shipping and storage costs and 50% less disposal of shipping cartons.
Antimicrobial - Long-lasting protection against growth of organisms, including mold, mildew, fungi and algae. The Antimicrobial is nonleeching and nontoxic.
