I was researching many protocols and TCP/IP seems to be very popular. What is the main reason to be popular?, since most of them use internet nowdays?. I am just curious.

"Internet" is not a protocol but rather the name for the mess of interconnected networks that primarily use IP.
TCP is connection oriented protocol used for things such as HTTP, FTP, etc...
UDP is a connectionless protocol used for such things as DNS, TFTP, etc...
So, TCP/IP is only usable for internet applications such as http, ftp, etc....., ?. is it server base or pc base protocol?.
Well the term Internet is shortened for Internetwork. IP is the protocol most PC's,servers, routers, switches, devices, hosts, etc... use to connect to each other over various networks which then use a transport protocol such as TCP or UDP to handle the various applications such as FTP, HTTP, etc...
IP is a Layer 3 (Network) protocol
TCP & UDP are Layer 4(Transport) protocols
and HTTP, FTP, SMTP, DNS, etc.. are Layer 7 (Application) protocols
